Job Description

JOB BRIEF

Delivery including personal delivery of the technical elements of site services by the operational site teams, ensuring the company delivers services effectively profitably and in full accordance with Ensafe Consultants policies, procedures and quality systems. This includes pre and post contract review of job files and other services, site visits, accurate information gathering, costing jobs, and completing proposals, gathering costs, and management of site works to ensure profitability and excellence


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review project and survey reports and associated recommendations
  • Complete assessment checklist prior to remedial works
  • To ensure all preparation and planning has been undertaken prior to the works, liaise with specific sub-contractors and clients
  • Ensure site/enclosure plans are completed during site visits to include, enclosure, adjacent areas, NPU, transit routes, viewing panels and all site access details are clarified prior to remedial works
  • Meet with contractors associated with scheduled remedial works, ensure that removal locations have been confirmed and that adequate preparation has been made for the works
  • Attend survey scoping visits and prepare the scope of works for Project Management
  • Review contractors submissions (quotations, method statement, ASB5's etc.)
  • Prepare quotes and proposals in accordance with all Ensafe agreed processes, be aware of cost implications
  • Communicate to Contracts Director / Quality and Compliance Director and Account Managers all information gathered for preparation of tenders, specification and quality related documentation
  • Communicate with and manage clients keeping Account Managers fully informed or Contracts Director if not available
  • Attending pre-start meetings and post contract review meetings to provide feedback for planning and debriefing of work
  • Ensure all works comply with the Quality and Health and Safety requirements at both the planning and delivery stage
  • Participate in investigations into anomalies and complaints
  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policy and duty of care
  • Build effective lines of communication and liaise regularly with inter-departmental contacts
  • Correctly identify trends and patterns in events and recognise causes and effects
  • Use own understanding to develop new ideas and approaches



REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-5 years' experience in all aspects of asbestos consultancy including inspection and testing
  • Project Management training or qualification or experience; P402/3/4, CSCS card, PTS eligibility
  • Ability to manage activities and projects effectively taking responsibility for delivering effective outcomes on time and on budget
  • Ability to build customer service into all aspects of decision making and policy implementation with a view to maximising customer satisfaction
  • Initiative and the ability to problem solve for self and others
  • Listens actively and seeks to understand and presents views and arguments logically and clearly
  • Proven ability in leading, creating or being part of an effective productive work team
