JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Job Title:                      Sales / Bid Manager

 

Responsible To:           Directors

 

Salary:                         £30 - 35,000 per annum

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

TENDER MANAGEMENT:

 

-       Conducting searches of tendering websites and daily monitoring of emails for new and upcoming tendering opportunities

-       Logging and scheduling of all incoming Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and ITTs

-       Have a clear understanding and conduct interpretation of the questions within the PQQ and tender documents

-       Be able to construct relevant and unambiguous answers that portray the company in the best possible light                                                  

-       Collating the tender documents in a presentable manner as per the client’s requirements

-       Develop and maintain a library of company tender documentation

-       Review and proofreading of the tender document to ensure quality and accuracy

-       Co-ordination and completion of response to PQQs and ITTs

-       Issue regular reports on tender status and liaise with Directors to ensure that requirements are met

-       Track outcomes on both successful and unsuccessful bids, obtaining feedback and capturing learning for future bids

-       In addition to the responsibilities outlined above the candidate will be required to undertake general administration duties.

 

SALES MANAGEMENT:

 

-       Identify potential customers and develop strategies to maximise sales and set goals

-       Attain new clients and manage existing customer relations

-       Effective communication and presentation in order to influence and persuade clients using sales promotion techniques

WORK EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Previous experience (minimum of three years) of bid management within a commercial environment
  • The ability to provide proposed PQQ and Tender documentation
  • Significant experience (minimum of three years) of generating new custom and maintaining existing customer relations in a sales environment.

 

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Levels

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to present the findings in a logical form
  • Demonstrable experience of high level communication and presentation skills 
  • Excellent networking skills
